Some of my fondest childhood memories are of building cheap plastic model airplane kits on the living room coffee table while watching Japanese monster movies. Those moments sparked a love for creating that has only grown over the past fifty years. My creative journey has been an ever-evolving exploration of different mediums, techniques, and ideas. From hands-on making to digital design, I’m always experimenting, learning, and pushing my skills. Here are just a few of the things I dabble in—to greater or lesser degrees.
In front of a computer, I can navigate my way through the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, have fully embraced the switch to DaVinci Resolve, and can muddle through Blender and C4D. Lately, I’ve been dabbling in TouchDesigner. (Also, I love Excel—don’t tell anyone.)
In the shop, I’ve built Irish lap harps, animatronic pirate skulls, book nook dioramas, and cassette tape loopers. I can surface-mount solder, design basic PCBs, and code reasonably complex microcontroller madness.
I’m happiest in the studio—making random things or sharing my passion for creating with others.
Why mix when you can buy
Always use protection
I have a bucket of these things
The occasional light machining
I’d say I’m pretty good at mostly most of the things on this list… at night… mostly. The thing about being a jack of all trades is that mastery is fleeting—one day, you’re nailing it, the next, you’re questioning if you’ve ever used a screwdriver before. But hey, that’s half the fun! Every project is a chance to learn (or relearn) something new, and if I don’t know how to do it yet, give me a little time and a few YouTube rabbit holes—I’ll figure it out.

So many parts. So little space.
Say it with me... Forstner.
Ya need a jig when you do a lotta repetitive processes.
You can never be too rich or have too many clamps.
